Dr. Scher is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and currently is the Pediatric Hospitalist/ER Consultant at Sutter Novato Community Hospital. He developed and directed the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at Marin General Hospital and the Pediatric After Hours Clinic and provided care as a UCSF Pediatric Critical Care Transport Physician. Dr. Scher has volunteered with Global Healing for over two decades. As one of the founding pediatricians of the Roatán Volunteer Pediatric Clinic (RVPC), he has committed to not only providing supervision as the RVPC Volunteer Medical Director, but has worked to reinstitute the Global Healing Fellow Program at RVPC. This program gives new Honduran doctors the opportunity to gain a year of practical experience in a medically diverse public hospital, enhancing their skills to be the best qualified physicians within their own country.
