Elan Weiner has been a board member of Global Healing since 2017. He is a public health epidemiology, and Specialist in Blood Banking, with a background in blood safety and blood center operations. Elan serves as General Manager of Global Therapeutics at Cerus Corporation, and is responsible for development, manufacturing, and commercialization of pathogen reduced blood derivatives, such as cryoprecipitate and freeze dried blood components. Elan has experience in clinical care, development, operations and clinical research. He serves on multiple blood banking and transfusion medicine committees. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications focusing on blood component efficacy/storage, pathogen reduction, blood center operations and blood component availability.
