Shannon has always enjoyed helping others, but she never guessed it could become a career. Shannon started her professional life as a pastry chef. After nearly a decade in the restaurant industry, she found herself wanting to make a more substantial impact on the world. Soon, she was taking her restaurant knowledge and skills in fundraising to put together fundraising events. Shannon rapidly advanced from a temporary employee assisting with annual gifts and fundraising operations to Program Director of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Valley Children’s Healthcare Foundation. Pediatric healthcare was something Shannon knew a lot about after being a child with special healthcare needs as well as being a mother to a child with similar needs. Shannon‘s greatest passion is bringing healing to children. As the Development Director for Global Healing, she is getting to be a part of bringing healing to children and their mothers.
Shannon‘s education includes a BS in Public Sector from the University of Phoenix and is currently working on her MS in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. She was also recently inducted to The National Society of Leadership and Success, which is the nation’s largest leadership honor society. When Shannon isn’t out telling people about Global Healing or furthering her education, she enjoys spending time with the little ones in her life and teaching them how to cook and bake. She also spends a significant amount of time with her dog, cats, listening to music, playing games, and building puzzles with her significant other.
Shannon truly believes together, we can change the world, and she is excited to meet you.
